Global Industries, one of the largest manufacturers of office furniture in North America, has a career opportunity for a highly motivated Distribution Center Manager in the Fremont, CA area. This facility is one of 20 company owned distribution facilities across the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing employees with some Human Resources responsibilities
- Dealer accounts including discounts
- Customer sales visits
- Product training for staff and dealers
- Responsible for accuracy of weekly product cycle counts
- Supervise all shipments in and out of facility
- Review inventory levels compared to sales demand
- Supervise A/P, A/R, collections and customer service
- Overall financial and operational responsibility
Position Requirements:
- Have experience closing “large ticket” items
- Have strong interpersonal skills with a proven sales ability
- Have 5 years of sales experience with 3 years in a retail commission environment
- Be available to work day, evening and weekend hours
- Be high energy and build strong customer relationships
- Effective communication and sales skills both over the phone and face-to-face
- Have excellent sales, customer service and communication skills
Salary: $12.00 – $15.00 Hourly DOE
