Job Summary:

Marathon Pipe Line Company LLC is seeking a Mechanical Technician for its Heath, OH location.​

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate components from blueprints, engineering sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Perform other typical machine shop tasks, such as polishing, straightening, forming, inspection, etc.
  • Assist in the construction and troubleshooting of various types of Global Innovation confectionary processing and packaging equipment.
  • Assist engineers and technicians in devising timely and cost-effective means of developing test components and assemblies.
  • Perform other various tasks, including, but not limited to: assisting in product trial runs, cleaning and maintaining shop and process equipment, ordering and picking-up supplies, etc.
  • Set-up and operate various manual machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a ‘safety-first’ mindset. Incumbent must practice and promote safety on an ongoing basis.
  • Must be willing to travel to global Wrigley facilities as needed and work overtime as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability and willingness to respond as needed and contribute effectively to a team environment.
  • Knowledge and competence of basic pc computer tasks, such as email, internet browsing, and exposure to Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability and willingness to perform moderate physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, bending, continuous standing, etc.
  • Five years experience in construction and troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems (cams, gears, etc.), and industrial electronics.
  • Tool and die making certification or associate’s degree in manufacturing technology or related field desirable.
