Job Summary:
The General Merchandise Manager (GMM) will provide effective and inspirational leadership and strategic direction and vision for select departments in purchasing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with merchant team in writing visual merchandising direction for test stores
- Partner with construction team in updating new store fixture packages, store layouts and designs
- Travel stores with District Managers and Field Visual Managers
- Partner with merchant team in creating shop maps for flooret
- Execute formal floorset walk through with executives, merchants, store ops and marketing
- Partner with merchants in confirming table priorities for floorset
- Partner with Creative Coordinator and marketing team in selecting/creating all assets for monthly floorsets
- Travel to hot zone to execute additional floorsets for holiday
- Direct Creative Coordinator in creative needs for floorset
- Oversee production of floorset document from table priorities to fashion message
- Coordinate and run pre-set meeting prior to floorset; present and review shop maps, promo list and marketing; resolve all preliminary floorset issues

- Ability to work under tight time frames on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to reprioritize as needed

- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- Minimum 5 years of direct buying and product development experience for a multi-store retailer
- Minimum 5 years experience as a General Merchandise Manager or higher for a multi-store retailer. Proven strengths in planning, inventory control, buying, and leadership management
Salary: $12.00 – $14.00 Hourly DOE
