Job Summary:
As a Credit Specialist, the incumbent will perform collections of the company’s past due A/R by contacting customers for payment on their accounts via phone and email and handling incoming customer inquiries, disputes and complex billing issues via phone or email.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Financial Analysis – Revenue/Contract Compliance
- Analyze aging reports
- Perform research of complex accounts with outstanding balances for resolution
- Negotiation with customers to resolve outstanding balances
- Outbound calls and emails to customers in regards to past due accounts
- Analyze aging reports and trends to identify solutions for process improvements
- Investigate returned mail and bounced collection e-mails
Position Requirements:
- Team player
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and math skills
- Ability to perform complex billing/payment account analysis
- Experience working with customer relationship software
- Working knowledge and experience with AR aging, adjustments, payment applications, and billing
- 3-5 years of commercial collections experience, or experience in an outbound collections call center or collection agency
Salary: $14.00 – $18.00 Hourly DOE
