Job Summary:

As a Credit Specialist, the incumbent will perform collections of the company’s past due A/R by contacting customers for payment on their accounts via phone and email and handling incoming customer inquiries, disputes and complex billing issues via phone or email.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Financial Analysis – Revenue/Contract Compliance
  • Analyze aging reports
  • Perform research of complex accounts with outstanding balances for resolution
  • Negotiation with customers to resolve outstanding balances
  • Outbound calls and emails to customers in regards to past due accounts
  • Analyze aging reports and trends to identify solutions for process improvements
  • Investigate returned mail and bounced collection e-mails

Position Requirements:

  • Team player
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and math skills
  • Ability to perform complex billing/payment account analysis
  • Experience working with customer relationship software
  • Working knowledge and experience with AR aging, adjustments, payment applications, and billing
  • 3-5 years of commercial collections experience, or experience in an outbound collections call center or collection agency

Salary: $14.00 – $18.00 Hourly DOE
