Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Desktop Support Engineer to serve as the first point of contact for all NET-A-PORTER staff with desktop or general Windows problems, and as the escalation point for other queries.​

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cross-train peers on quality support methods, engineering methodologies and communication skills through coaching feedback
  • Provide feedback to management on mechanisms to improve efficiency of the Support Center
  • Responsible for desktop standards and standardization of existing products
  • Responsible for delivery of desktop engineering services
  • Evaluate leading edge technologies and provide recommendations
  • Develop, measure and refine engineering procedures processes, and service descriptions to facilitate increased customer satisfaction
  • Operational responsibilities include architecture and design of automated software delivery for use in application delivery
  • Provide after hours support as required

Position Requirements:

  • Although not essential it would be an advantage to have experience of: Exchange Server (2003 preferred); HP/​Compaq Servers; Adobe Photoshop
  • Great sense of humor and attitude
  • Exceptionally organized and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative.​
  • Articulate with excellent writing skills
  • Good Trouble-shooting and fault-finding skills
  • Numerate and with a good standard of education
  • Smart phones, Win Mobile and Blackberry (desirable)
  • Cisco IP phones (not essential)
  • Understanding of Networking and Internet typologies
  • Experience of providing windows desktop support in an Enterprise environment
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

Salary: $12.00 – $14.00 Hourly DOE
