Job Summary:

The Senior Tax Specialist is responsible for preparing the federal and state income/franchise tax returns for Volkswagen Group of America and its affiliated companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and tax calculations for the monthly closing process
  • Keeps abreast of changing tax laws, tax rates, and accounting rules, including tax research of issues
  • Review and prepare various reports and analyses for internal use by management and external use by taxing authorities
  • Complete miscellaneous tax and business informational requests
  • Reconciles tax balance sheet accounts and ensures appropriate payments are made accurately and timely
  • Maintains appropriate files for sales and use filings
  • Ensures appropriate compliance to all Sales/​Use and Property tax requirements
  • Responsible for completing periodic Sales/​Use and Property tax returns
